Empowering Communities Through Health and Development.
Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation was established to extend the reach of health services into communities that public facilities struggle to serve consistently. We are a national NGO, registered with the Uganda NGO Bureau, and we work with and through government and public structures rather than building parallel systems alongside them.
Our test for a programme is simple: what is still standing in the district twelve months after the funding ends?
MMHF works as a sub-recipient and implementing partner rather than as a grant-making body. Current funding comes from the Global Fund through TASO, alongside self-funded pilot work. Past programmes were funded by USAID. Our audited accounts are published each year.
